The Big Idea of Chiropractic
Your brain and spinal cord control all the functions of your body! Messages from the brain reach various parts of the body via the spinal cord. The spinal cord runs the length of your spinal column, and nerves branch out to all the parts of your body along the way. Your spine is what protects this spinal column – made up of 24 moveable vertebrae. A healthy spine allows us to move freely while protecting the nerves. Subluxation is when two or more vertebrae have lost their normal position or motion, potentially causing interference with the nerves carrying communication between the body and the brain via the spinal cord. Subluxation can cause scar tissue, and bulging or herniation of the discs between the vertebrae – which can in turn press on nerves, causing pain or a host of other symptoms.
The video above will show you which parts of the body are affected by subluxations in different sections of the spine, causing a wide range of possible symptoms!
Chiropractic treatment helps to remove subluxations and nerve interference, which in turn allows the body to heal itself. Chiropractic treatment can be a big part of maintaining your overall health and wellness, preventing or healing damage to nerves from subluxation!
